Lija is a sweet and affectionate 3-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix weighing 29 lbs. She was rescued from the streets of Metamora, Mexico, where she was begging for food. Now, she’s ready to find a family who will shower her with love—because she has so much love to give in return!

Lija is a pro at belly rubs and loves to give the best hugs—literally! She’ll stand on her back legs, wrap her paws around you, and melt into you for cuddles. She’s so happy to meet people and gets along well with other dogs. While she enjoys playing, going for walks (she prefers a harness!), and zooming around the yard, she also has a bit of a ride or die side—she loves to play “follow the leader” with other dogs, even if they’re getting into trouble, she'sgoing to be right by their side all the way!
