Goody is a 2-year-old Hound mix weighing 31 pounds who spent the first two years of his life in an overcrowded shelter in Metamora, Mexico. Picked up as a puppy, he never got the chance to experience the love and comfort of a real home. Now safe in rescue, Goody is slowly beginning to learn what it means to be part of a family.

He is shy and extremely scared at first, taking time to adjust to new surroundings. It’s clear he’s never lived indoors—he’s far more comfortable outside, where he enjoys running and playing with other dogs. When brought inside, he often tries to find a quiet place to hide and will tremble in fear, overwhelmed by the unfamiliar environment.

Goody is good with cats and does well with other dogs. Due to his sensitivity to noise and sudden movements, he would do best in a calm home with older children—ideally 8 years and up—who can give him the space, patience, and gentle care he needs.
